Howie Le's journey into the world of fight gear began long before USG Fight Gear was established. As a dedicated martial artist, Howie spent years training in various combat disciplines, developing not just his fighting skills but also a deep understanding of what makes quality equipment.
Through countless hours in the gym and the ring, Howie experienced firsthand the frustration of generic, mass-produced gear that didn't meet the needs of serious fighters. He recognized a gap in the market for truly custom, premium-quality equipment that could be tailored to individual fighting styles and preferences.
In 2015, Howie transformed his passion into action by founding USG Fight Gear in a small workshop in Brampton, Ontario. What started as a one-man operation focused on custom boxing gloves quickly evolved into something much bigger.
Word spread quickly among the local fighting community about the exceptional quality and customization options USG offered. Fighters appreciated the attention to detail, the premium materials, and most importantly, the fact that Howie truly understood their needs as a fellow martial artist.
As demand grew, USG expanded its product line to include MMA gloves, shin guards, protective gear, and custom apparel. Each new product was developed with the same philosophy: premium quality, innovative design, and fighter-focused customization.
Today, USG Fight Gear has grown from that small Brampton workshop into a nationally recognized brand, serving fighters across Canada and beyond. Despite this growth, Howie has maintained the hands-on approach and commitment to quality that defined USG from the beginning.
A significant milestone in USG's journey was the collaboration with Sovrin Extracts, a partnership that has allowed USG to expand its reach and continue innovating in the fight gear industry. This collaboration represents Howie's vision of building a brand that's not just about products, but about being part of a larger community of athletes and entrepreneurs.
